Here's the spot to get the latest optional Google Apps for your nabi Tablet. If you don't see the specific app you're looking for in this list then surf over to Googlie Booglie Essentials post.

These apps were chosen as optional because while will enhance your overall nabi experience, they are not necessarily needed by everyone. Some of the apps also only work in Parent Mode.

PREREQUISITES: These apps require that the apks from the Googlie Booglie post be installed and a Google Account be set up, in order for the apps to execute as intended. Note that apps marked with an asterisk (*) can be installed without any requirements. Apps marked with two asterisks (**) can be installed and used without meeting these requirements, but will not necessarily function to the apps full capabilities.

Cloud Print v0.6.1b (2013-06-12)

•  Print from any compatible Android device to any Google Cloud Print connected printer.
•  Share a picture or a document from apps like Gallery directly to Cloud Print.
•  Track the status of your print jobs.

Google Currents v2.1.1 (2013-07-15)

• Bug fixes.

Google Gesture Search v2.1.2 (2013-06-21)

• Searching multilingual contents by drawing native characters for 40+ languages. Transliteration is supported for all these languages. Pinyin initials are also allowed for Chinese.
• More bugs fixed.

Google Keep v2.1.01 (2013-12-12)

• Battery life and data usage improvements.
• Optimizations for high resolution screens.
• Bug fixes.

Google Play Books v3.0.15 (2013-11-06)
•  Added the ability to search the text of original-pages books.
•  Added a "see all" shortcut from Read Now to My Library.
•  Stability improvements.
NOTE: Google Play Books does not work in nabi Mode.

Google Play Newsstand v3.0.1 (2013-12-10)
• Newsstand combines Play Magazines and Google Currents into a single app. Free and paid news, plus magazine subscriptions all in one place. Your Google Currents subscriptions will automatically transfer into Play Newsstand.
•  Read Now surfaces the most interesting stuff. The more you read, the better it gets.
•  Follow topic tags to discover related stories and new sources.
•  New offline features minimize data and battery usage.

•  Automatically refresh friends' locations.
•  A variety of Photos improvements.
•  Additional bug fixes.

*Google Text-to-Speech v2.4.3.864779 (2013-11-06)
Google Text-to-speech Engine powers applications to read the text on your screen aloud. For example, it can be used by:
•  Google Play Books to “Read Aloud” your favorite book.
•  Google Translate to speak translations aloud so you can hear the pronunciation of a word.
•  TalkBack and accessibility applications for spoken feedback across your device ... and many other applications in Play Store

•  Faster, simpler speech translation.
•  Fullscreen camera translation.
•  Translate pictures stored on your phone.
•  More languages for camera and handwriting.
•  Improved right-to-left language support.

Hangouts v2.0.128 (914007-30) (2013-11-21)
•  SMS & MMS (Android 4.0+): Send/receive text messages with Hangouts! You can import your existing messages, quickly switch between SMS and Hangouts, and start group MMS conversations.
•  Animated GIFs: send animated GIFs, cute kittens and all.
•  Location: share a location in your conversations.
•  Device, in-call, mood status: share what device you’re on, whether you’re on a call, or your current mood.

Helpouts v1.0.4 (2013-11-16)
• Connects people who need help with people who can give help over live video. Get help across multiple topics with your tablet anytime, anywhere.

Maps v7.4.0 (2013-11-08)
•  Skim through transit directions to see upcoming stops and transfers in your route.
•  Add your Home and Work location for at-a-glance commute information before you leave.
•  Bug fixes.

Sky Map v1.6.4 (2011-08-31)
• Open Sourced and no longer in development by Google.

*TalkBack v3.5.0 (2013-10-17)
• New tutorial lessons for context menus, reading granularities, and text editing.
• Bug fixes.
NOTE: TalkBack only works in Parent Mode.
